4 weeks at sea looks like this
Things get a bit messy if you are bouncing around, but this should be the last time we need a clear up. We have 3000 miles under our belt and are now out of the Roaring Forties.
Reaching!
A different point of sail and we love it. The wind is on our side rather than on our nose and Kelper rides up and over the swell like a race horse.
The view of the pilot house from down below.
It is Andrez who goes up fo'ward on most occasions, especially if it is rough or at night. Everything is ready by the door.
Running repairs
This is what you have to do if your trousers fall down at an in convenient moment!! Andrez's hand operated sailmakers sewing machine is a god send.
North of South Georgia
The weather has turned. It is colder, damper and has been quite a bit rougher!
Dinner tonight!
We left with a leg of mutton tied to the rigging just as we did 24 years ago setting off for Norway. It will last really well - we should have brought more because soya mince is going to wear pretty ...
Ready to Go
The night before leaving for St Helena - and I think I look a little apprehensive.
