What a contrast on the North and East coasts! Barren, dramatic volcanic scenery.

We lost the sunshine for a while as we were at cloud level. It was wet and warm; hence the cloud forest. Lots of helpful flights of steps to keep your footing on the narrow ridge.

We climbed higher and followed the ridge. There are well marked walking trails all over St Helena.

The interior of St Helena is lush and green. We had fantastic views on our walk.
