The interior of St Helena is lush and green. We had fantastic views on our walk.

Ever read 'caught with pole and line' on your tin of tuna? This is what it means. Incredibly skilful handling of bait on the end of a stick by Colin to attract the tuna and then the flick to get 20kgs ...

This is a small one! Only 20kgs compared to the 50kg specimens that the fishermen target.

There are actually 4 of the little devils but they were hiding away and we can't actually swear to this being Jonathan!

Jonathan the Giant tortoise is a 'must - see' for visitors. He lives at Government House and has his own personal visitor's entrance!

This should read 'a view from one of the several forts'. European sailing powers squabbled over the island quite a bit!

Driving around the island, you get glimpses across the deep valleys through gaps in the trees. This is the secondary school in the woodland on the opposite hillside.

I have made it my mission to drive on every inch of St Helena's tarmac! The roads are narrow and twisting and wind their way through the lush, green countryside.
