The Coastguard from Burgeo came to our rescue when the shaft and propeller
'uncoupled' from the gearbox.

The start of the Mummer's Dance

The final get together on Saturday evening was a dance opened by Mummers - a
fancy dress tradition. I was dragged up to join in with an 'Ugly Stick' (a
homemade percussion instrument).

Caribou Fawn

Confused by both sets of lights, this fawn didn't leave the road with its
mother. Trent nipped out to guide it in the right direction. Coyote follow
the herds and pick off any stray young.

Moose

On dusk, a young Moose appeared on the road and then disappeared into the
trees. We waited until he came out the other side of the stand of trees, but
by then he was quite a distance away.

The fog came down on the way back in to Burgeo and we must have come across
hundreds in scattered groups crossing the road on their migration west to
east.

Burgeo Harbour

A good view of the hills, islands and boats. The way in for yachts is
centre; we are stood on a low bridge.
